For the Parents
Your kids will:
- Experience a new country and explore another culture. They will raise their consciousness to the importance of caring about the environment by learning about wildlife, such as sea turtles that nest locally this time of year, and by taking part in beach clean ups.
- The Leadership Workshops are facilitated each morning. In these round-table sessions, students will learn to be confident, outwardly caring, more aware of others needs and their own impact on those around them. They will further develop a strong sense of their own values and the importance of community. From immersing in a different lifestyle and culture, they will learn new perspectives They will have to opportunity to bond with peers, spending their Spring break away from the screen and in the outdoors.
- Healthy and safety: Your child will be in the hands of experienced teachers, program leaders, and American professionals who both live and have been operating Leadership Programs in Nicaragua for the past 5 years. The location is a family-friendly community, gated, safe, with a health clinic on site and a solide dose of good neighbours, teachers, instructors, local business owners, and athletes.
