It feels as if we are moving through sludge.
So many of my travel stories carry this very plot, but usually, I am trekking some volcano or mountain, lost and starving somewhere off the map.
There is no way to see clearly, carrying the uncertainty of what’s coming next, and everything hurts.
Yeah. Life these days, we are moving through sludge.
But we are still moving. That’s the most important thing. It’s taking longer than our plans carved out, yes. It’s taking us all longer. Some of us have to reroute. But that’s okay too.
Maybe the clouds seem low and black.
Maybe the waves sound crushing.
Maybe the currents feel sweeping . . . .
But I see a big sky full of dreams and an ocean of endless opportunities.
Look ahead. Take one step at a time and be kind to yourself and happy with this day’s success – no matter what shape or size it is.
Our big dreams are still out there. And endless possibilities too. Don’t give up on them. We just have to look up. Keep going.
One day at a time.
