Any of you who follow my personal social media know I often work from my laptop with my toes in warm sand in exotic destinations.
It’s 2019, and more and more I see professionals like myself doing the same thing. They are kicking away the 9-5, mundane routine and immersing themselves into an invigorating new lifestyle that feeds their soul and aligns with their purpose.
In this New Year, Venture Within is pivoting our attention to professionals who have decided to take the exhilarating leap into discovering and exploring something new within themselves. We’re here for those buying a plane ticket to start their personal journey.
Tropical beaches, cities rich in culture, tantalizing new foods, refreshing new vibes and inspirational new people – this is a new lifestyle which combines inspiring travel with a career on your terms, adventure that pushes you past your comfort zone and community that supports your growth.
It’s a lifestyle chosen by those who seek more depth in their life experiences. It’s an emerging new culture of professionals who have hit the road in search of something more meaningful. It’s for those who want to find their purpose.
And I met up with them.
This past year I took Venture Within to Thailand, Indonesia, Costa Rica and Nicaragua. Sharing co-working spaces with fascinating and inspiring professionals from all corners of the globe served to reshape our leadership experiences in revolutionary ways.
We exchanged life stories over happy hours in co-working hubs tucked into trendy cultural city centers. I met inspiring entrepreneurs who slay all day and night against the backdrop of street music and foreign chatter. I felt right at home.
As I sat with entrepreneurs, lawyers, and graphic designers and diverse assortment of remote professionals, I listened to the challenges they faced and their deeper needs to find clarity, build confidence, cultivate a community with ease, and to be unafraid. I understood the kind of inspiring leadership and support they were seeking and what finding their purpose meant to them.
The result is that our Leadership Programs and Retreats have been rejuvenated, amplified and tailored to support you professionals on the road out there.
As an educator, an entrepreneur, a seasoned traveller, and creator of inspiring leadership experiences that truly change you, I understand what it takes to be inspired and connected at a deeper level.
Venture Within is a culmination of my own learning and success as an educator, a leader, a traveller and a boss. It’s my ongoing entrepreneurial journey of building, operating and growing a successful global business that is of benefit to others and of my never-ending desire to travel and learn.
Most of what I have learnt about life and business I’ve learned through travel.
Travel changes us. It shakes and shapes us. It shows us things we never would have seen or experienced in our carefully planned lives of routine. Travel shows us how to become a better version of ourselves.
When we find our purpose, we see a ripple effect on everything around us. We view our relationships through a crisp new lens, reboot our careers, appreciate our families in harmonizing ways, and achieve goals that in turn inspire others.
My goal for Venture Within is to share what I know about travel, about finding your purpose, and tapping into the leadership within each of us.
I get it.
I understand travellers and the addictive lust for both exploring epic landmarks and the lure of tiny, hidden-away taverns, and how exhilarated and connected these moments make you feel.
I understand entrepreneurs and the 24/7 struggle to manifest their bright ideas and passions into a thing of success. I understand professionals burnt out from the 9-5 mundane routine that waters down and dilutes their inner passion.
I understand failure and how crippling it can be, and the rocky, arduous climb back up to success.
And I also understand the heart-racing feeling of being brave enough to book the ticket and position yourself to make a change.
That change might be waiting for you in a place like Bali. It might be in Costa Rica, or Nicaragua.
