At the time of writing this, I’m sitting in the front seat of a parked taxi, hot-spotting from my phone, and typing away on my laptop. The side door is open, letting in an occasional breeze that I’m grateful for on this sweltering day, waiting at the border between Nicaragua and Costa Rica.
It’s day 1 of my current Nicaragua Retreat and I have 24 people participating in a fantastic week-long experience that rings all the bells.
This group of high school students, parents, and teachers will be exploring Nicaragua’s beaches and volcanoes, be proactive in educational and artistic partnerships with schools in local communities, go surfing, hiking, zip-lining, and of course, engage in mindfulness workshops throughout the week. Woven together, the workshops and activities create a tapestry of all the mind-opening and exciting events that are lined up for them this next week.
For many, it’s their first time overseas since international travel was more or less impossible in the early days of the pandemic. For some, it’s their first time traveling ever. These are young students who have worked hard the last few months to raise the funds to be a part of this travel opportunity in impactful ways.
This post here for you is an update of the magic and good vibes being created by each of us here on this trip. There will be juicier, more heart-stirring stories I can share in this newsletter once the week has finished and we’ve lived out the life-changing events that never fail to revive passion, compassion, and connection in my guests.
These life-changing experiences are often not scripted but always guaranteed to rise up and fill the hearts and minds of every person who ventures out and travels with a purpose.
For now, I want to invite my readers to follow this group’s journeys in real-time. Because they are a private group, I have not created a page on my website or promoted their trip publicly, however, their stories will be found in my stories as we go. (Instagram).
And as you know, my next Retreat arrives in April and is offered for anyone who has ever wished to create something meaningful: be it a project, a business, or a life.
Details for the Creatives & Entrepreneurs Retreat are below. For those of you who are ready to travel with a purpose too, and create something more, this is your ticket.
